September brought along an annual rendez-vous, VIORO25, an eagerly awaited edition marked by a challenging market situation. Lorenzo Peroni, Peroni&Parise’s co-CEO and designer tells us his raw impressions after the exhibition.
Lorenzo, what kind of experience was it?
I would say it has been a pleasant surprise: we got there full of enthusiasm but with moderate expectations, given the rather hard period we are going through. However, the fair was full of positive vibes: people were eager to meet again and you could feel it.
Let’s talk about the different markets: where are the most interesting responses coming from?
As always, we felt a strong interest coming from foreign countries, especially from Asia. We are also enjoying the fruits of our work in Europe, in Northern and Eastern countries especially. The USA remain a receptive and live market. And we are finally finding our way in Italy as well, which has always been a challenge for us: all the commercial work we have put in over the last few months is starting to pay off. We have met new clients and strengthened preexisting bonds.

Which collections have charmed visitors the most?
The Inclusion collection for sure. The concept of earrings’ interchangeability is proving to be successful: it is a simple, immediate concept with a refined design, enriched by stones that make every piece unique. It is versatile and we have found a very interesting target price, much appreciated by the public. Among our new pieces is the Desiderio Brown collection, which sparked a lot of curiosity.
What insights has this edition brought about from a creative perspective?
We have dedicated a lot of time to researching stones and have found some interesting pieces for our next collections. The feedback we have collected confirms that there is a general desire for innovation. We take it as a sign to re-invent ourselves and be ready to present new ideas already in January. At the end of the day, this is our job’s nice aspect: putting ourselves out there time and time again.
In such a difficult market like the one we are experiencing today, what message do you take home from VIORO2025?
One thing I have understood is that no matter what hardships we go through, the desire fro beauty persists. Customers want to buy jewels that combine quality, design and soul. And when quality is high, it always pays off. This exhibition has shown us that there is a real appetite for beautiful things.
