Social commitment and caring for others have always been pillars in Peroni&Parise’s philosophy. We believe beauty must embrace ethical and humanitarian values and we commit to them day after day. Especially co-owner of our company Valeria Baldin, who has just left for the first humanitarian trip of the association of which she is president, Kiran – Ray of Light, lasting from April 6th to April 25th. Accompanied by a team of six, among which are a doctor, a photographer and a social media manager, Valeria will embark on a journey full of meetings and discoveries, which will be recorded daily on a travel diary that you can follow on Kiran’s Instagram and Facebook account and on its Telegram channel. This initiative represents an important chance to give a voice to those who are often left unheard, valorising the power of volunteer work and the concrete impact of targeted, on-site actions.
From Nepal to India, through “small Tibet”
The journey’s itinerary embraces lands rich with culture and tales of resilience, with stops in Nepal and India, in territories that are still quite unknown. Katmandu, Pokhara and Jomsom will be the destinations in Nepal, whereas in India the stops will be Dehli, Vrindavana, Dehradun and Rishikesh.
The group will visit the following active projects:
- Phenday Care Center in Pharping (Nepal)
- Jomsom Monastic School in Munstag (Nepal)
- Ling Gesar School in Dehradun (India)
Other than bringing the donations received up till now to their local contacts and sharing bonding moments with the girls and boys helped by the association, the team will also meet other organisations. Namely, in Pokhara there will be a significant stop as they will visit the no-profit organisation WSDO, founded to help women who are in difficulty and abused: here the team will conduct interviews to give a voice to the stories of those who have fought to regain dignity and hope. The trip will also include a meeting with the managers of the Yes Helping Hand cooperative, whereas in India a meeting is planned with Food For Life, in Vrindavan.
Through this initiative, Peroni&Parise aims at brightening the lives of those who fight daily for a better future. Thanks to Valeria Baldin’s leadership and the team’s energy, the trip will become a tangible symbol of our commitment to social responsibility, opening up new possibilities and providing hope to the communities crossed along the way.
