Peroni & Parise and GAVI: Synergy with an outlook on the future

Our company invests on tomorrow and on our youth. Our collaboration with GAVI (Gold Academy Vicenza, former School of Arts and Crafts), which is the most excellent centre for goldsmith training, has been going on for some years and we have now become their partner company, by investing and allowing students to perform formative apprenticeships and projects with us.

GAVI’s students and their project works

Among other things, Peroni & Parise has concretively collaborated with last year students who are getting ready for their final exam, for which they have to present a project work together. “Each group chooses one of the partner companies to carry out the work – explains Lorenzo Peroni, Peroni & Parise’s founder and CEO – . They have to understand the business, make design proposals and start projects on it, from the graphic point of view as well as the design, and then realise them.”

With Lorenzo’s presence in the starting and intermediate phases, this school project has allowed our young future jewellers to get involved, with the support of professionals from the sector. “Our group worked a lot with precious and semiprecious stones”, Lorenzo pointed out.

An investment for the future of the goldsmith industry as well as our company’s

Other than through project works, the collaboration between Peroni & Parise and GAVI also takes shape through the offering of curricular internships to students. “For instance, a student who interned with us at the beginning of the year will start working with us in September, right after her graduation”.  A confirmation of the sector’s growth. “Right now, there’s a lot of interest – says Lorenzo Peroni – After a few strong crises, today we are seeing a trend reversal and a huge labour request. As always, the Vicenza goldsmith district is the spearhead of this re-start”.

The partnership with GAVI goes even further: Lorenzo is part of a board that was set up to help the school make decisions on the training program, so that there can be a real connection between the students’ academics and companies’ real needs.
